This administration has brought us closer to a real nuclear conflict than any time since the Bay of Pigs. The worst part is, our President is incompetent or unwilling to deal with these threats. He is more concerned with dragging this nation into socialism and financial ruin.

Hmm…wow, questionable results of an Iranian election with Ahmadinejad being declared the winner. I never saw that coming.
Perhaps I should just wait to see if some left-wing pundit on cable news will somehow bring George W. Bush’s name up (in a bad way) in discussing this foreign crisis. After all, insiders know that Bush really is Adam from the garden Eden, the genesis of all the problems in human history.
Comment by Larry McCallister — June 13, 2009 @ 4:47 pm
This is a coup d’etat. You may call it a color coup d’etat. They didn’t even bother counting the votes and changing the number. They’ve even made a linear relation between number of votes of AhmadiNejad, and Mousavi! They’ve also declared votes of Mahdi Karroubi- the candidate who talked very clearly about freedom, necessity of serious change in Islamic Republic, women right, etc. -the least, with a very silly and funny 0.85% to show that his supporters are in exact minority of the society (to put them all in jail or execute latter)
They’ve also declared AhmadiNejad the winner in candidates birth cities where traditionally people vote for their own candidate. Karroubi’s newspaper readers are even more than number of his announced votes!!!
This is to tell everyone that they’ve made a coup d’etat and they’ve even talked about it before elections and have prepared themselves for it from nearly a month ago.

That was a great interview. Have you seen her interview with Wolf Blitzer? That one was even more comprehensive. Her response to the Letterman issue was better on the Today Show – I especially like how she called Matt and the MSM naive.

“Take it however you want to take it”
She handled that interview very well and with such class.

It’s ridiculous to think that he was talking about the daughter that wasn’t with her, …
That assumes that he knew which daughter was with her. I think it is reasonable to assume that he didn’t know that. He admits that the “joke” was not about Willow, making her statements about statutory rape, a serious problem, nothing more than political opportunism.
If the Palins wants to keep a zone of privacy around their children, you don’t send Bristol on a tour talking about teenage pregnancy, sponsored by Candie’s, known for their sexually provocative clothing marketed to tweens.
Comment by nal — June 13, 2009 @ 7:11 pm
If it was as simple as an ignorant mistake, it wouldn’t have taken him 2 days to come out with a non-apology. We still haven’t heard one to Willow.
I think you’re wrong.
Comment by Tabitha Hale — June 13, 2009 @ 7:35 pm
Letterman responded the same day, Wednesday, that the Palins accused him of joking about raping 14-year-olds. If they really thought that the joke was about Willow, it wouldn’t have taken them until Wednesday to come out with their statements.
Comment by nal — June 13, 2009 @ 8:28 pm
As a viewer of David Letterman I believed the joke was about the 14 year old since I knew she was in NYC with her mother. If I take him at his word that he meant the other daughter, who was not in NYC at the time, then he did poor research and unfortunately is still responsible since the insult appears to be directed at the 14 year old since she was in the city. But worse than that as a woman, I feel insulted that he thinks that making comments sexual in nature about a child that could be his granddaughter is acceptable behavior. I find them obscene.
Comment by Garnette — June 13, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
Letterman is a deranged slob- and his tired 1985 schtick’s about as funny as a train wreck. I say give Todd Palin five minutes alone with this creep- maybe then he’d get the hard education in moral clarity that he so obviously lacks.
And if Sarah Palin is SO silly and irrelevant, why the obsession?
Clearly the Left noted her appeal, and are out to eliminate the threat- it’s not like it’s not obvious. She’s been highly successful in life while ignoring the left-wing feminist model… this helps to explain the extra dose of venom in the attacks.
Go get em, Sarah- and don’t mind the press, nobody will be listening to them anymore after the pending Obamamania implosion-

This is one of the most disturbing things to date, IMHO. This is the government-media complex in full effect. America needs to wake up or we are going to find ourselves in an irreversible situation sooner than we ever imagined.
